Unhurried tracks are easy to get wrong, either dragging or going nowhere, but “Don’T Forget God”, joined by Sambo Sq, avoids both problems fairly comfortably. Twinkle Deep SA stays in a relaxed pocket here and holds it, moving at an unhurried pace that suits the overall mood of the record rather than fighting against it.
The instrumental and vocals trade space evenly throughout, keeping the track balanced from beginning to end without either one dominating. Nothing here feels overdone or out of place, which is exactly the kind of discipline that’s harder to pull off than it sounds.
